Kristine Sumi
SF Service Unit Leader (LSM), Program & Events (PSM), Older Girl Program
Now in her 5th year of leading the SF Service Unit, Kristine is also the troop leader for Troop 62424 and has been an adult Girl Scout volunteer for 15+ years. She and the team are committed to a vision of providing a blend of traditional and modern activities, removing barriers of access to all girls in San Francisco, and guiding the team toward value-based decisions on what we invest our time and resources in to provide world class programming that will sustain us into the future.

Julie Wilson
Membership & Recruiting (MSM), New Leader Development
Our newest team member, Julie has taken on the role of Membership Support Manager, responsible for recruitment and supporting new troops. Julie is also an Ambassador Troop Leader, and throughout her 10 years as a Troop Leader, she has supported our Service Unit in many ways. Julie has a passion for mentoring new leaders and will help us fulfill our goal to “Grow a Daisy at every School”—Daisy Troop, that is.

Trina Merriman
Treasurer, Camporee, GS Adult Meeting Leader, Camp Ida Smith Team
65+ years of Scouting experience from girl to adult and going strong! Trina has done it all from earning the Curved Bar Award, to Troop Leader, Camp Counselor, Camp Director, Registrar, active in the Golden Gate Association, led the first Golden Gate Bridging in the late 60s/early 70s, and for 20+ years led the SF Service Unit. Trina's primary passion is getting girls outdoors. She has made a lasting impact and continues to inspire new generations of girls.

Tara Mochizuki
Adult Recognition
25+ years in Girl Scouting, as a Girl Scout from Brownies through Seniors, and a GS leader. Tara currently leads religious recognitions at the local and national levels by supporting our Service Unit leaders and girls who want to learn how to earn their own faith’s religious recognition. She also coordinates the annual Girl Scout Sunday Celebration, to commemorate the birthday of Girl Scouting in the USA, celebrate the Girl Scouts who have earned a religious recognition and learn about the meaning of “to serve God” in the Girl Scout Promise.

Kimberly Hamilton-Lam
Registrar, Camp Ida Smith Site Team & Ida Smith Day Camp Director
Kimberly has spent 12+ years in Girl Scouting, as a troop Product Sales Coordinator, and in her various roles on the Service Unit team, and on the Camp Ida Smith Site Committee. For our Service Unit, she serves as the Registrar and assists troops with their membership renewals. She facilitates the Diamond Troop Program where we recognize troops that have reached Diamond Troop status. At Camp Ida Smith she organizes work parties and maintains the planted areas. Kimberly also serves as Camp Director for the Camp Ida Smith Day Camp.

Dot Frantin
Camp Ida Smith Site Team
Dot has been a Lifetime Member for 50+ years of Girl Scouting. She's been involved in many ways over the years, and is absolutely passionate about the Girl Scouting program, loves to help empower girls, and help the team where needed. She has been the powerhouse managing our blockbuster annual Cookie Sales and Fall Sale product programs for 15+ years. Her volunteerism is aimed at educating the community about Girl Scouts by making us visible via Sunday Streets and other community programs. Nancy Johnsen
Camp Ida Smith, Imagine & Invest Chair & National Delegate
A lifetime Girl Scout, Nancy earned her First Class, and hasn't stopped since! For SFSU she has led two troops in SF's Tenderloin district, co-chairs the Camp Ida Smith Site Committee, is a shameless fundraiser for Ida, and pours her creative energy into developing resources and assisting wherever and whenever she is able. Nancy is also currently a National Delegate for GSNorcal through 2023.

Mimi Belmeur
Equipment & Library Resources, Camp Ida Smith Site Team
Mimi has been a leading contributor to our Service Unit Team for many years, and has been the driving force behind our landmark annual Girl Scout Ice Skating party at Yerba Buena. After many years as a troop leader, Mimi has redirected her passion into Camp Ida Smith.

Carol Horaitis
Parades Flags & Festivals, Council Heritage & Gold Award Committees
Carol has spent 5+ decades as a Girl Scout—from Brownies to Seniors, then as a troop leader. She has also directed council Day Camps and is a Learning Facilitator. Carol enjoys working with the older girls whether at camp, going on national/international trips, and as a member of the Council's Gold Award Committee. She is always glad to answer any questions about the highest awards, Girl Scout History, and of course to help the girls shine in the spotlight while participating in the city's many parades.

Jocelyn Leiser Herndon
Service Adviser, Presidential SVC Awards, Older Girl Program
Jocelyn spent 3 years as a Girl Scout, and has volunteered for 7+ years as a Leader. Since 2018, she has supported our troops as Service Unit Service Liaison, by maintaining a list of community organizations and opportunities for girls to do service, as well as maintains the history of prior projects. She also administers the Presidential Service Award program, Community Service and Service to Girl Scout Awards for the Service Unit, and co-leads our Older Girl Program offering exciting opportunities for our OGs to connect beyond the troop.

Olive Giovanetti
Service Unit Product Sale Manager
Olive is a troop leader and after 3 years hosting our New Leader Meet-ups and Q&A sessions, she has now taken over the important role of coordinating the Fall and Cookie Product Sales for San Francisco Girl Scouts.

Giselle Palacios-Delmundo
Support for Religious Recognitions
Giselle has been a troop leader for the past 6 years. She is part of the Service Unit team coordinating Religious Recognitions. Giselle can always be counted on as an all-around Service Unit Team volunteer whenever we need her. Watch for her in our parades and also supporting recruitment events in San Francisco.
